The 2011 Scion xD comes with a 1.8L engine, 5MT/4AT transmission and is FWD. The xD receives an EPA estimated 27 mpg city and 33 mpg highway.
Safety features on the 2011 Scion tC include Vehicle Stability Control, which can help prevent slips and loss of traction. Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Brake Assist are also included. Scion has also added Smart Stop Technology (SST), which reduces engine power when both pedals are pressed at the same time under certain conditions. SST intervenes with the accelerator is depressed first and the brakes are applied firmly for longer than one-half second at speeds greater than five miles per hour.
